Meat eating or vegetarianism?

Over the past 10-15 years, the vegetarian movement in the world has grown significantly, and therefore, more and more disputes arise between the adherents of plant foods and meat-eaters. The first complain not only about the dangers of meat on health, but also promote the ethical side of the issue of killing animals. The second by all means continue to prove that man is a predator. That is why we have fangs, nails, such emotional manifestations as anger and aggression, and also that meat is protein and the only source of vitamin B12. Each side argues its own arguments, but who really is right? Below are several reasons for the negative effects of meat products in the human diet.

No vegetarian would deny that meat is a protein, but also a source of saturated fat, excessive consumption of which increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Which, by the way, are the cause of death number 1 in the world. Saturated fats not only affect our blood vessels, but also have a negative effect on digestion and blood cholesterol levels. The exception is lean meat – poultry, rabbit. The negative impact of such products on health is minimal with proper preparation, but it also does not carry much benefit, since during heat treatment the meat loses up to 90% of vitamins and minerals. Thus, there is three times less protein in boiled chicken breast than in a portion of lentil porridge.

Meat eating or vegetarianism?

A common disease among people is food poisoning. And most often this happens through the fault of animal products: poor-quality fish, poorly roasted steak, exceeded the amount of chemicals in meat preparations. Chemicals are generally inseparable from meat products. This is indicated by an incredibly high shelf life on the packaging. But to make a charlotte of spoiled apples is impossible, as well as cook soup from rotten cabbage. No one has yet managed to conceal the staleness of fruits or vegetables.

Refusal from animal products helps to reduce weight. The reason is the reduction in the diet of saturated fat, as discussed above. These so-called “bad” fats are replaced by good, healthy fats that are more found in nuts. They have a beneficial effect on the body. They improve the condition of hair, nails and skin, but at the same time, they are not deposited in the form of extra pounds. Weight loss also occurs due to the use of a large amount of greenery, which helps the breakdown of adipose tissue and the normalization of metabolism.

These are just the basics of what a person should know about the common food culture and the effect that the food that is familiar to many has on our bodies. In the course of the account, the choice of what and how to consume in food, it remains only for you.
